Doha 9 September 2015. A delegation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Mauritius led by the Minister Honorable Yogida Sawmynaden, Permanent Secretary Mr. Virendra Kumarsingh Daby and Director of Sports Mr. Ram Lollchand visited Aspire Academy today.
The Mauritian officials were welcomed at the Academy VIP entrance by the Director of Education and Student Care Mr. Badr Jassim Al –Hay who briefed them in a short meeting about the Academy’s work and vision as well as taking the guests on a tour of the facilities of the Dome and the school.
At the end of his visit, the Mauritian officials exchanged gifts with Mr. Al-Hay and the Minister was very impressed by what he saw in Aspire Academy qualifying it “as one of the best academies in the world that combines education and sports under the same roof''. He then praised the role of the Academy in developing sports in general and football in particular in Qatar.
“ It’s an outstanding Academy that I’ve never seen a similar elsewhere. What Qatar is doing here is really inspiring and a great work that deserves congratulation,” said the Hon. Swamynaden before leaving the academy .
