The Academy has run a special programme called the "European Experience Project" since 2012. Over a selected period, that could be as long as a season, a programme of foreign exchange for the most gifted football players (aged 18 – 22) takes place. Among the targeted objectives are: gaining experience and adapting to the professional approach to training and competition from the football culture within leading European clubs.
The project, previously known as “HOPE Project”, was launched in harmony with the school vision to develop well-rounded youth leaders capable of promoting a responsive environment and realising Qatar’s plan to prepare a National Football Team by the time it hosts the 2022 FIFA World Cup™.
In order to experience training in different environments and conditions, teams have training camps outside of Qatar, going to countries like Senegal to train at the Aspire Football Dreams Academy. This concept is called "Elite Group Training" and involves different age-groups each season. There is also a similar individual concept called "Elite Player Training". Within this special training programme, the best two players of each generation at the Academy have the opportunity to train for two weeks at European Clubs.
