TRIPLE WIN FOR ASPIRE TEAMS IN "TRI-SERIES"

09 Nov 2017

Doha, 9 November 2017. This week Aspire Academy welcomed the U16, U17 and U18 teams of Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa and Eintracht Frankfurt for another edition of the "Tri-Series" Tournament. Thereby, Aspire Academy's talents impressed with strong performances and as a result managed to win each respective age group.

While Aspire clearly dominated the games against the Spanish club and won without conceding a single goal in every generation, the games against the German Bundesliga club were much closer. In the end, only one goal made the difference in the games of the U18s and U17s; in the U16s it took a penality shoot-out to decide after the result was a 2-2 draw after the regular time. However, the Aspire Academy players showed mental strength in all games and were able to defeat the strong Germans.

"We played really well in all three generations and especially the games against Eintracht Frankfurt, a club with one of the best youth academies in Germany, demanded a lot from our players. The style of the Germans was quite phycial, but our teams had a good response, they played very fast and in the end the games were decided by small differences. One of the most important things was that our boys kept their focus until the end of the games and every one of them showed a lot of determiniation to win," said Aspire Academy U18 coach Abdulrazak Hedeidar.
