Doha, 20 August 2019. On Tuesday morning Suresh Subramaniam, the President of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka, visited Aspire Academy during his stay in the country.
Mr Subramaniam, who is also the Asian Tennis Federation vice President, showed great interest on the tour interacting and asking questions as he took in the sights of the Academy. Speaking after a comprehensive tour, the President of National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka, Suresh Subramaniam said, “I have heard a lot about Aspire and in previous visits to Qatar l wasn’t able to come see for myself, but this time round l asked my hosts at Qatar Olympic Committee to arrange a tour and l was impressed by what l have seen. I have been to many sports academies and institutions all over the world, but Aspire is the best of them all. Congratulations to the leadership of Qatar, the Qatar Olympic Committee and to Aspire for creating an environment where young athletes can develop into champions that can succeed on a sporting level and in life. Combining education excellence and sports finesse is essential to build successful athletes and citizens and here at Aspire you have demonstrated this is possible and once again l congratulate Qatar and its people."
