ASPIRE TABLE TENNIS TEAM DOMINATES MOROCCO OPEN

Doha, 13 July 2016. Aspire Academy's table tennis team recently returned from a trip to North Africa, where they successfully competed in the 2016 ITTF Morocco Junior and Cadet Open.

The team of three Aspire Academy student athletes - Nawaf Al Malki, Abdulaziz Abdulhamid and Mohamed Adbulwahab - showed strong performances at the international tournament that took place in Agadir between July 7 and 10. Nawaf Al Malki succeeded in the team and doubles competition in the U15 category. Mohamed Adbulwahab won the singles and doubles events in the U18 age group. It's his second singles title in an ITTF U18 tournament. Abdulaziz Abdulhamid won team and doubles in the U15s and doubles in the U18s. The tournament was part of their preparation for the Arab Championships in Tunisia next month.

"The summer is a crucial time for our players with important competitions on the schedule. We are happy about their good results in Morocco and we are already looking forward to the Junior Circuit tournament in Jordan later this month, where we are going to face some of the strongest players from Asia", said Aspire Academy had coach Zlatko Novakovic.
