ASPIRE STUDENT ATHLETE HEMEIDA HURDLES TO WORLD YOUTH LEADING TIME

Canberra, 29 January 2018. Aspire Academy year 11 student athlete Bassem Hemeida obtained a world championship qualifying standard time for 400m hurdles during an athletics meeting in Canberra, Australia when the Aspire athletes are holding a training camp. Hemeida, who competes in 400m hurdles as well as 200m sprints achieved an excellent result qualifying him to the IAAF World U 20 Championships to be held in July in Tampere, Finland. He achieved 52.79 in 400m hurdles which is a leading time for U20 category in 2018.
