Doha, Aspire Academy end of year (2020-2021) examinations will be sat from Monday 24th May to 1st June 2021 under strict observations of the coronavirus pandemic safety measures. The examinations will cover all students from year 7 through to year 12 and on all subjects. Aspire Academy School management team has put together a comprehensive plan for student-athletes, parents, staff and all involved parties clarifying and explaining the set arrangements and program to ensure exams are carried out in a healthy and sound environment during this current global pandemic.
The examinations will take place in the mornings from 8.00am with student-athletes arriving at the Academy between 7.30 and 7.45 am. Expounding on the procedure, Aspire Academy School Principal, Jassim Al-Jaber said, “Entry and exit for all student-Athletes will be from the main sports dome gate and the body temperature of the student-athletes will be checked at the entry point. Whoever shows an increase in body temperature above normal will be isolated and re-examined after 5 minutes and if the condition persists, he will be prevented from entering and the parents will be called to accompany him. Everyone must show the (EHTERAZ) App in GREEN. Student -athletes leave immediately after the exam, either to their home or to the sports training sessions from 10: 00-12: 00 am, according to the arranged sports practice schedules. We run examinations under the same conditions last year and did so successfully, so we are now accustomed to this environment and current situation and intend to make these exams yet another flawless and well-run exercise”, said Principal Jassim Al-Jaber.
The end of term examinations bring to a close an academic year during which students’ learning has been interspaced between online classes while at home and in the classroom due to coronavirus pandemic. For the Grade 12 students, these will be the final examinations of their life at Aspire Academy and will determine their graduation grades.
