GRADUATE ALMOEZ ALI STARS IN 4TH EPISODE OF “PLAYER INSIGHT”

The popular bi-weekly football programme “Player Insight”, the brainchild of Aspire Academy Football Performance and Science department, has reached the 4th episode and features Aspire graduate, Qatar National team, and Al Duhail SC striker, Almoez Ali Abdulla.  Since its launch on 22nd February 2021 the success has followed one episode after another as high-profile players express their views points on the game of football, provide insight on training methodologies, their overall experiences, and feelings about the beautiful game. The episode is aired on Alkass Sports channels one HD on Monday, April 5 at 4:30 pm in Arabic and on Alkass HD1 and English at 8:45 pm on HD 2.

Having heard from foreign international players time to cue in, our own home grown star the record holder of the most number of goals (9) scored in a single AFC Asian Cup edition Aspire Academy graduate, Almoez Ali. The Al Duhail SC captain walks us through his youth days learning his trade at Aspire Academy, stepping up to playing in Europe and winning the 2014 AFC U-19 championship in Myanmar.

In the exclusive interview for “Player Insight”, shot at Aspire Academy, Almoez  also talks about his injury before  2014 AFC U-19 championship in Myanmar and that glorious tournament in which he finished as the top scorer and the player of tournament as Qatar won its maiden AFC Asian Cup in February 2019 at the final tournament held in UAE. Almoez also shares on accolades wins and lessons he learnt that helped him develop his career.

“Player Insight” episodes are broadcasted on both AlKass Sports Channels One HD Arabic and English, on Aspire Fellows website, Aspire Academy social media platforms and other local and international sports channels.

Almoez Ali, 24 -year-old striker is one the Aspire Academy graduates making up 65% of the Qatar national team that won the 2019 AFC Asian Cup. His story captures the well set out vision and mission of the world’s best youth sports development institution- Aspire Academy and how its achieving its goals and looks ahead to the Qatar national team preparations for the home edition of FIFA World Cup 2022- Qatar which he is dreaming of playing in.   

“Aspire in the World Fellows” is a programme launched by Aspire Academy in 2014 with the goal to embrace, gather and lead the best practitioners in world youth football in consolidating and developing the knowledge pool in the world of football performance and science. The activity leans on the cornerstone of Aspire Academy Global Summit and Fellows Gatherings.

As well as regular gatherings in Doha and events in Europe to develop their ideas, members are supported by a cutting-edge online portal enabling the spread of best practice, trends and the latest thinking. Taken together, the various elements of the community’s activity provide a powerful platform to support the broader development of football around the world.

The Fellows web-based platform (serves the purpose of fostering ongoing debate and discussion amongst Aspire Fellows. The platform also enables the Fellows to share content on their own Club/National Team training methodologies, application of technology, research, and other relevant sources of information. Through this tool, the Community is able to continue working throughout the year on defined topics.
