SILVER FOR DALLOUL AT ‘AASF ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS’

09 Oct 2015

Bangkok, 9 October 2015. Aspire Academy student-athlete and swimmer Walid Dalloul returned with a silver medal in men’s 50m breaststroke (age group: 15 to 17 years) from the recent ‘8th AASF Asian Age Group Championships 2015’, that took place in Bangkok, Thailand between October 1 and 8.

“After my victories at the GCC Championships I was very motivated for this competition in Thailand. I had a hard day before the 50m event, because I also reached the final over 100m breaststroke and I didn’t have much time to recover. I finished sixth in the 100m race, and then came in second in the 50m final one day later, which was a great success for me,” said the 17-year-old.

After his return to Doha, Dalloul is already looking forward to his upcoming competitions. “In November I will compete in the FINA World Cup in Doha, where I am going to start in the open age category.”
