Doha, 18 September 2018. The 2018 Aspire Academy Football League season for Generations 2007 and 2008 is set to kick off on 4th October 2018 at Aspire Academy. Youth coaches from Qatar Stars League clubs along with Qatar Football Association officials joined Aspire Feeders department staff at the first meeting to discuss the new season and some of the changes to be implemented.
The 2018/19 League is for all football clubs in Qatar and for U-11 and U-12 players. Speaking after the meeting Aspire Academy Football Feeder coach, Naoufel Chebil said, “This League is growing in reputation with the QSL clubs and not only does it provide players of this age with competitive playing opportunities but our Aspire Academy scouts are able to watch and spot some of the talent on show as well as the potential show, which all bodes well for what we do her at the Academy.”
The teams that will compete in the 2007 are as following, Al Rayyan, Mesaimeer, Al Ahli, Al Shamal, Al Duhail and Muaither. There will also be six teams for the 2008 generation, namely, Al Arabi, Mesaimeer, Al Gharafa, Sailiya, Al Duhail and Al Rayyan. The teams will be split into two groups per age group with the top teams proceeding to play in the final festival of the “Aspire Academy League 2018/19” scheduled to take place on National Sports Day, 12th February 2019.
