Madrid, 19 November, 2017. Aspire Academy has been awarded 'La Negrilla' Golden Award for 2017. The award is given annually by Spanish La Nueva Cronica newspaper to bodies, states and personalities for their contribution to the service of sport and society. Ambassador of Qatar to Spain HE Mohammed Jahm al Kuwari received the award on behalf of Aspire Academy, said, “The awarding of La Negrilla to Aspire Academy highlights Qatar's remarked efforts in using sports to strengthen the cooperation and communication among the people. It is also a reflection of the new success for Qatar's sports policies bodes well for the confidence in the country's ability to host a big event like the 2022 World Cup."
"It is an honor that Aspire Academy has today joined the prestigious list of the award winners. Qatar's hosting the FIFA World Cup 2022 would be a milestone in every way and the preparations for the event are on schedule," added Ambassador Kuwari who went on to say, “The World Cup in Qatar will be the most compact in history and the Qatari people are open and hospitable and all the fans who come to Qatar will feel as if they are in their own country.”
Aspire Academy owned club Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa has contributed to the service of sport and society in its community and Spanish La Nueva Cronica newspaper took this into consideration in awarding the 2017 'La Negrilla' Golden Award. Winning the award by Aspire Academy highlights Qatar's efforts in using sports to strengthen the cooperation and communication among the people.
