?Doha, 19 October 2014. With three weeks to go, excitement is building for the “Youth Athletics Coaching Congress” that takes place on November 9 and 10 at Aspire Academy. A panel of experts from around the world will be coming to present on a variety of topics related to the development of youth athletes.
As co-host of this conference, the Qatar Athletics Federation understands the need for coach education. “Coach education is one of the most important issues for athletics coaches. Clearly, understanding the latest developments in coaching knowledge has a major impact on the development of athletes,” says Joachim Krug of the QAF. “We at the federation are very happy to partner with Aspire Academy on the important responsibility of organizing these events for the benefit of all local coaches in Qatar.”
Aspire Academy is pleased to welcome world-renowned QAF middle distance coach Jama Aden as one of the featured speakers. Jama has coached a number of Olympic and World Championships medalists throughout his illustrious coaching career. “I’d like to thank Aspire Academy for giving me the opportunity to share my coaching experiences at this conference,” says Coach Aden, who will be speaking about the organization of training for teenage distance runners as well as endurance technique. “I’m looking forward to spending time over the two days with my coaching colleagues, discussing the newest methods of training athletes.”
