Doha, 16 December 2014.Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence students and employees celebrated Qatar National Day on Tuesday in a joyful event that reflected the spirit of the occasion.
In remembrance of Qatar's unification and independence that will officially be celebrated on December 18, the Academy and a huge number of other Aspire staff members made Tuesday a special day at the Academy to maintain the knowledge and appreciation of Qatar's heritage, and to encourage pride among Qataris. “Celebrating the National Day means a lot to every single Qatari and it is important to everyone to show national pride”, said Student Care Manager Ali Ahmad Al-Hitmi at the opening speech.
In presence of high-ranking management such as Aspire Zone Foundation CEOKhalid Al-Sulaiteen and Ali Salem Afifa, Director of Corporate Services of Aspire Academy, the students presented a traditional program that includedrecited verses from the Holy Quran, a horse parade,a sword dance performed by students, music, local food, falcons and presents. A special guest at the celebration was Fahed, the mascot of the Qatar 2015 - 24th Men's Handball World Championship.
Thanks to the excellent organization of the people involved the event turned out to be a great experience for everyone.
