ACADEMY HOSTS QATAR NATIONAL DAY CEREMONY

Doha – December 17, 2015. To mark Qatar National Day, students and employees from Aspire Academy hosted a celebration ceremony on December 16, which featured the Qatar national anthem, student recitals from the Qur’an and the cutting of a national day cake.

A number of speeches were given from Academy representatives who discussed the importance of Qatar National Day and its role in instilling national pride. The speeches paid tribute to Qatar’s founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani and congratulated both HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, on behalf of all the students and staff of the Aspire Academy.

The ceremony was attended by Academy officials including Mr. Ivan Bravo, Director General of Aspire Academy, in addition to the Academy’s directors, and a number of Aspire Zone Foundation staff. The event was also attended by the Academy’s Student-athletes, who recited poetry and presented performance pieces to celebrate the occasion.
