Some of Qatar’s finest young sportsmen and scholars will graduate from the Aspire Academy at a glittering end-of-year ceremony today. Guaranteed to be a night of unforgettable memories, the celebration, which takes place on Tuesday evening (17 June), will crown almost six years of coaching and high school education for the majority of the 29 teenage leavers.
Family members and friends of the graduates, Aspire (Academy-staff members and special VIP guests including AZF CEO Khaled Abdulla Al-Sulaiteen will be amongst those celebrating on the night. And addressing the large crowds gathered for the graduation ceremony will be Aspire Academy’s Director General, Ivan Bravo, and AZF Chief Executive Officer Mr Khaled Abdulla Al-Sulaiteen.
Amongst those receiving diplomas at the event will be 21 of the country’s most promising u-18 footballers. Several of these talents currently play for youth teams at some of Europe’s most decorated clubs in Spain, France, Belgium and Austria. In addition, other graduates to attend the ceremony will be gold medallists, world-record holders and future Olympic contenders from track and field athletics, squash and table tennis.
Meanwhile, several of the young Academy leavers are now set to pursue top degrees in law, medicine and computer engineering at prestigious universities around the world over the next few years.
