LEBANESE PREMIER LEAGUE-CLUB NEJMEH VISITS ASPIRE ACADEMY

18 Nov 2019

Doha, 18 November 2019. On Monday morning, eight times Lebanese Premier League-champion Nejmeh Sporting Club, currently in Doha for a training camp, visited Aspire Academy and was taken on a guided tour.

Head coach Mohamed Abdel Azim, his players and coaching staff were truly impressed by the Academy’s environment and philosophy. “What I’ve seen here today is completely outstanding. It’s something that would make any Arab proud that these facilities are in an Arab country. We’ve seen everything from the high-end pitches to physical tests that are done in a very professional manner. It’s impressive how much attention the people here pay to the boys from a very young age in order to develop them into true champions,” said the former Egyptian international, who also played professionally in Germany and Austria.

“I wish that every Arab country would try to implement such an incredible sports project. And I really wish Aspire Academy and Qatar all the best, especially in the coming period when the country is about to host the FIFA World Cup in 2022.”
