19 Apr 2015

Doha, 19 April 2015. Aspire Academy graduate Abdulla Al Tamimi defeated Ammar Al-Tamimi from Kuwait to win the 21st GCC Squash Championship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, last weekend.

Al-Tamimi defeated three Kuwaiti players on route to victory, including a 3/1 win over Ammar Al-Tamimi in the final, to put an end to the domination of Kuwaiti players at the GCC championship. This is the first time in the tournament’s 26 year history that the title goes to a non-Kuwaiti player.

It is an excellent result for Abdulla who also won the U19 title two years ago.
