Doha, 18 September 2020. The Director General of Aspire Academy, Ivan Bravo, would like to contradict the information circulated in some media that he has or may in the future have a stake in the takeover company of Club Waasland-Beveren. In a statement Ivan Bravo explains: “I am aware that, from time to time, my name tends to be associated with multiple football projects. It is the nature of this industry and also the result of many years of both professional and personal relationships. The company I work for, Aspire Academy, participates in KAS Eupen and this season my employer has asked me for the first time to be directly involved with the club. It is an exciting season for the Pandas as some changes have been implemented to try to compete well in a very competitive league.
Some business partners of mine, in other projects in other countries, had been interested in investing in Belgian football for some time and I am happy they have found a project for themselves. In my opinion they have taken a good decision by joining the Pro-League and I believe Waasland-Beveren have found good investors. I wish them all good luck.In conclusion, my activities are exclusively with the Pandas for as long as my association with Aspire continues. Therefore, I very much look forward to getting the focus back to our formidable opponent this weekend, Royal Antwerp FC.”
