ASPIRE ACADEMY MEETS FUTURE STUDENT-ATHLETES

28 Apr 2016

Doha, 28 April 2016. On Wednesday evening, Aspire Academy welcomed 66 future student-athletes and their families to the “Scholarship Meeting” in the Academy’s auditorium, where they had the chance to hear about the philosophy of the Academy and learn more about what they can expect from sending their sons there. Many of them also used the opportunity to ask graduates, current students and Directors questions about life at Aspire Academy.

The audience, which also included club representatives, Aspire Academy management, teaching and coaching staff, was officially welcomed by Aspire Academy Deputy Director, Ali Salem Afifa. He stressed how important it is for the Academy to cooperate closely with parents, keeping them up-to-date on their sons’ experiences at the Academy.

Afterwards, current and former students joined a panel discussion to provide future students and their families with first-hand accounts of their experiences as student-athletes at Aspire Academy. They expressed great gratitude towards Aspire, describing it as a “golden opportunity” and a privilege to be part of the “Aspire family,” and confirmed that their time at Aspire helped them grow as students, athletes and people.

Then, Badr Al-Hay, Director of Education and Student Care, Markus Egger, Director of Sports, and Roberto Olabe, Director of Football, took the stage to answer questions. They all highlighted their awareness of the huge responsibility they were taking on with these new-joiners, adding that everyone at Aspire Academy is taking the students’ development very seriously and is ready to give their best to make sure the new batch of students become champions in sports and life.
