Aspire Academy has welcomed nearly 300 student-athletes, including 74 new students, as it begins the 2026/2027 academic year and continues its mission to develop the next generation of champions for Qatar.
The new intake joins Aspire Academy’s integrated high-performance environment, where academic excellence, elite sports training, athlete welfare, and personal development come together to support young athletes in reaching their full potential on and off the field.
Students were welcomed by the Academy’s Education and Student Affairs leadership team, alongside academic, administrative, residential, and coaching staff, as they embarked on their journey within one of the world’s leading athlete development environments.
To mark the start of the academic year, Aspire Academy delivered a comprehensive induction programme for new and returning students, introducing them to the Academy’s educational, sporting, residential, and support services. New students also toured the school, training facilities, student residences, and dining halls, helping them settle quickly into Academy life while reinforcing the values of discipline, responsibility, and excellence that define the Aspire experience.
As part of the opening activities, Aspire Academy hosted an induction meeting with the parents, bringing together senior leadership and representatives from the Education and Student Affairs Department, Sports Department, Football Affairs Department, and Medical Centre. The session provided an overview of the student-athlete journey, highlighting the Academy’s holistic approach to education, athletic development, health and wellbeing, and daily support services.
The event also offered parents the opportunity to engage directly with Academy representatives and learn more about the integrated framework that supports student-athletes throughout their six-year journey at Aspire Academy.
Opening the session, Mr Jassem Mohammed Al Jaber, Chief of Education and Student Affairs at Aspire Academy, welcomed parents and thanked them for their continued trust and support.
"The launch of a new academic year marks another important milestone in Aspire Academy’s journey to develop student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. Through our integrated model and close partnership with parents, we continue to foster an environment built on discipline, ambition, and responsibility, enabling our students to realise their full potential and proudly represent Qatar on the international stage," he said.
Representatives from the Academy’s key departments outlined the wide range of services available to student-athletes and highlighted Aspire Academy’s collaborative approach to nurturing talent.
Speaking on behalf of the Education and Student Affairs Department, Dr Issa Abdullah Al Moslemani, Principal of Aspire Academy School, reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to providing every student-athlete with a world-class educational experience alongside elite sporting development.
"At Aspire Academy, we are committed to providing every student-athlete with an educational journey that supports their sporting ambitions while instilling the values of discipline, responsibility, and excellence. Through close collaboration across our academic, coaching, and support teams, we create an environment that empowers students to achieve success and contribute meaningfully to Qatar’s future," he said.
The new academic year builds on Aspire Academy’s proven track record of developing student-athletes and preparing them for success in sport, education, and beyond. In June, the Academy graduated 50 student-athletes across multiple disciplines, with graduates progressing to clubs, national teams, and leading universities in Qatar and abroad.
The start of the academic year also coincides with the participation of Aspire Academy graduates and current student-athletes in major international competitions. Several Aspire athletes are currently representing Qatar at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, while a number of football student-athletes are preparing to compete in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will be hosted at Aspire Academy this November and December.
These achievements underscore Aspire Academy’s continued contribution to developing elite sporting talent and preparing athletes to compete successfully at the highest levels of international sport, reinforcing its position as a global leader in athlete development and a key contributor to Qatar’s sporting future.
