ASPIRE Academy Squash player Al- Tamimi Won Dutch Junior Open Academy’s new graduate wins U-19 Title   Monday 2 July 2012, Doha, Qatar: ASPIRE Academy squash player Abdulla Mohammed Al-Tamimi, who is freshly graduated from the academy lately last month, continues his excellent performance as he went on winner of the Dutch Junior Open 2012 title in his U-19 category, just some days after he did 3rd in the German pioneer junior Cup open.   ASPIRE Academy graduate and Qatar future squash starlet realized his first major junior championship win as he went on winning all his 6 matches to finish first of his age category in front of some world class champions in this Dutch open which is another strong championship in the European  squash circuit.   Most of the other student athletes found the going tough against quality opposition but all managed to win at least one match. Azlan Amjad played some solid games in the Under 17 event to win four of his matches and finish in 35th position. Umair Zaman managed to get in the top 50 in the same event although only managed to come out the winner in two matches. ASPIRE Academy boys have successfully started their summer camps tournaments in Europe. They took part in the Italian Junior open in Reccione from 15 to 17 of June 2012, then in the Pioneer Junior Cup Open in Cologne, Germany, the Dutch Junior Open in Amsterdam, Netherlands and some of them will end it by the Spanish Junior open next week meanwhile the others have to return to Doha to prepare for the World Junior Championship to start next week in Doha, Qatar.    In his comment on the above results, ASPIRE Academy squash head coach, Australian Geoff Hunt said:” Abdulla Al-Tamimi followed up his 3rd place success in the Pioneer Junior Cup last week with a fantastic win in the Under 19 event of the Dutch Junior – his first major junior championship win. The coaches, other Aspire staff and students were extremely proud of his win and in particular the effort he put into every match over the last two weeks. Many of his games went to advantage but he always tried hard and managed to win the majority of those close fought encounters.”   “This was an extremely pleasing result for Abdulla especially having just graduated from the Academy. He played some exciting squash during the tournament. Overall the boys are gaining a good experience in this European opens as they are measuring to top level nations in squash,” added the Australian squash legend.
