ITTF PREMIUM WORLD JUNIOR CIRCUIT
BAHRAIN JUNIOR & CADET OPEN
Manama 14 – 18 November 2012
Aspire Academy Students Jassim Al-Sanadi and Mohammed Al-Sulaiti won the silver medal at the ITTF PREMIUM WORLD JUNIOR CIRCUIT tournament in Bahrain. After the accomplishments in Malta last March and Tunisia last October, the Champions have consecutively won their third ITTF WJC medals!
Unfortunately our best-ranked player Abdulrahman Al-Naggar could not participate in the Bahrain Championship due to an injury as he could have contribute so much for the team performance with the team from Slovenia, which defeated the Aspire Academy team 2:3.
Aspire Academy teams were also successful in the singles competitions. Both of our players won in their qualification groups, and got into the quarterfinals in the main draw. Jassim had 4 match balls against the best Slovenian player in the game for the semi-finals and lost tightly with 2:3.
Our students also played the senior, junior competition, in which Jassim won in his qualification group and in the first round of the main draw to proceed in the 1/8 finals. Mohammed placed in the semi-finals in the consolation part of the tournament.
