QATAR OVERCOME HOSTS INDONESIA AT AFC U-19 CHAMPIONSHIP

Jakarta. 21 October 2018. Qatar U-19 national football team made up of Aspire Academy graduates picked up three points after a 6-5 win over tournament hosts, Indonesia on Sunday 21st October at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.  Graduate, Abdulrasheed Umaru grabbed a hattrick with the other goals coming from a brace by Hashim Ali and a deflected shot from Mohammed Waad Abdulwahhab.

Qatar U-19 team affectionately known as Al Annabi now sit in second place in Group A and face Chinese Taipei in their final group match on Wednesday 24th October. Qatar got off to a storming start and were four goals up in the opening 45 minutes only for Indonesia to rally back in the second half.

Qatar U-19 won the AFC Championship in 2014 in Myanmar and the current Al Annabi are hoping to repeat the feat at this year's Championship and the win over Indonesia keeps their hopes alive.
