Doha, 26 October 2017. On Wednesday, a delegation of the Japanese Football Association, including its President Mr. Kozo Tashima, was welcomed at Aspire Academy and taken on a guided tour through the facilities. Prof. Valter Di Salvo, Director of Football Performance & Science, took the time to give the visitors insights into the Academy's philosophy and also the opportuinty to have a glimpse at the Academy's extension including the "Football Performance Center", that is currently being built.
“I guarantee this Football Performance Center will be the Number 1 of its kind in the world. It is amazing and as an AFC member I am proud that one of our fellow members is going to have a facility like this. You can see that the time after the World Cup in 2022 is also very important to the QFA, and I am sure that many players from Aspire Academy, youth national teams up to Qatar’s senior national team are going to benefit from this Performance Center in the future,” said Tashima at the end of his visit.
