Aspire Zone Foundation CEO, Mr Mohammed Khalifa Al Suwaidi took the Ambassador around at Aspetar while explaining various services offered to athletes. The two then had a meeting where they discussed current and future cooperation opportunities between AZF and French organisations.

While taking in the sights of Aspire Academy, its facilities and listening in to goals and programmes run by the Academy, H.E. Ambassador Gellet hailed the Qatar’s approach to sport development and investment. “What I saw today is encouraging and shows Qatar’s desire to create a world-class sports ecosystem. That feeds into the facilities I see here and the country’s preparations for the World Cup in 2022.” said Ambassador Gellet.

He added, “AZF is becoming a familiar name in France but I had not imagined it to be as impressive as it has turned out to be. It is and should be a matter of great pride for Qatar. I am impressed by the long-term investment and development exemplified by the programmes and objectives of Aspire Academy and speaks volumes of the wise path the country is making into sports enhancement."
