Doha, 14 May 2017: Aspire Academy graduate and Qatar national high jumper Mutaz Essa Barshim clinched his second consecutive Diamond League win with another fine performance on Saturday 13 May at the Shanghai Diamond League meeting after clearing 2.33M.
Qatar's only Olympics silver medallist finished ahead of a strong field that included home star, Wang Yu from China who finished second after clearing 2.30M while Ukraine’s Andriy Protsenko jumped 2.27M to finish in third place. Mutaz won gold medal at the Diamond League's inaugural meeting on his home turf of Doha last week with a World Leading jump of 2.36M.
