?Doha, 12 November 2014. A huge number of parents followed the invitation of Aspire Academy on Tuesday evening to attend the “Parents Meeting” for the grades 7, 8 and 9 and used the opportunity to get first-hand information about the progress of their sons from teachers and coaches.
“It is very important to have a close relationship with the parents of our students. Not just to inform them about their children’s performance in the classroom and in sports, but we are also very interested in getting feedback from fathers and mothers. We see it as recommendations and it also helps us to further develop our work at the Academy,” said Aspire Academy school principal Jassem Al-Jaber.
“Events like this are very good, because it’s important to know what’s going on in the Academy and how my son is doing. Overall, I am very happy with the possibilities that the Academy offers, the combination of school and sport is perfect and helps my son a lot and we are very thankful that he has the possibility to be a student-athlete of Aspire Academy,” commented the father of student Saad Mohamed Al Shamari on the fruitful relationship between parents, teachers and coaches.
The exchange of thoughts with parents is also of major importance for teachers and coaches, as mathematics teacher Haidar Fadlalla confirmed: “There are a lot of things that you can talk about with parents and it’s also a good way to give them advice, for example, if they want to know what they can additionally do with their kids at home.” And athletics coach Brendan Tammo added: “Talking with them is also a way to get feedback from the students and having a good relationship is also very positive for the school spirit.”
