Doha, 25 December 2014. On Tuesday morning, Aspire Academy officially said goodbye to the Spanish football legend Raul Gonzalez Blanco, who has been an advisor of Academy in the past two years. Raul is going to start a new chapter of his life in the USA, where he is going to play for New York Cosmos and will oversee the club’s academy after his retirement from professional football.   Student-athletes, coaches, teachers, directors and a lot of staff gathered in the auditorium to thank Raul for his engagement in the Academy. The former captain of the Spanish national team received a lot of gifts and was obviously moved. “This is an emotional moment for me, because Aspire Academy has become like a family for me and we shared a lot of great moments together. I want to thank everyone  and wish the Academy all the best for achieving their goals in the future.”
