Stockholm, 2 November 2015. Six student-athletes of Aspire Academy’s table tennis program recently competed in an international tournament in Sweden.

The “Angby International”, that was played in Stockholm between October 29 and November 1, involved 325 players from 13 countries, including participants from Denmark, Greece, France, Luxembourg, USA, Trinidad & Tobago or Romania.

The standout performance on behalf of Aspire Academy came from Nawaf Al Malki, who won a bronze medal in U14 Cadet Single Competition, losing in the semi-final to the eventual champion from France. In the U15 Team Competition, the cadets of Aspire Academy made it to the quarter-finals.

“It was a very strong competition, the participants played at a very high level and it offered our boys a good opportunity to compare themselves against opponents from all over the world,” said Daniel Rojnic, Senior Table Tennis Coach at Aspire Academy.
