?Doha, 16 September 2014. On Tuesday morning Aspire Academy welcomed 13 British international universities that had the opportunity to present themselves to students from the Academy and other schools. The event, organized by the “University & Career Networking Department”, gave the students the chance to get a better idea about the possibilities of pursuing an academic career after graduating.
Between 2008 and 2013 185 students graduated from Aspire Academy and 127 went on to study at universities. In order to give them a better idea about possible majors and universities, it is one of the Academy’s goals to provide them with as much information as possible is important. At this event the students had the chance to get a better insight into the options at the University of Sheffield, Heriot-Watt University, Bolton University, the University of Sunderland, Leeds Met University, the University of West of Scotland, the International Horizon College Dubai, the American University in London or the American College of Greece.
Besides that, programmes such as the INTO University partnership for foundation and diplomas at City, Exeter, Newcastle, Manchester, Stirling ; Navitas University pathways to Plymouth, Portsmouth, Swansea, Brunel, Anglia Ruskin, Robert Gordon or opportunities to do the foundation and international year one at Kingston, Surrey, Sussex, Lancaster, Keele, Huddersfield, Lincoln, Strathclyde or at De Montfort University were introduced.
