ASPIRE ACADEMY TO HOST MULTIPLE ACTIVITIES TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL SPORT DAY

07 Feb 2022

Aspire Academy will be hosting an array of different sporting activities catering to all fitness levels to celebrate the 10th National Sport Day tomorrow.

The National Sport Day was started in 2012 to promote a healthy lifestyle and create awareness about fitness among the people in the country.

The philosophy which was envisioned by Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani a decade ago now runs deep in the Qatari society as sports participation has become a way of life for the citizens and residents.

Sports have a benefit on health in general, and Aspire Academy has actively participated in the past events to promote sports and educate people on ways to reduce health risks associated with an inactive lifestyle, such as coronary heart disease and diabetes.

Keeping in view of this year’s National Sport Day slogan -- Sports is Life -- the Aspire Academy has planned activities at the Aspire Park to promote the country’s national sports strategy and inspire the community to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

Some of the internal events of Aspire Academy include Activation Area 1/anytime fitness gym, Activation Area 2/F 45 gym, volleyball area, spinning area, padel and other activities.

Different activities and games for children, families and visitors will be held at Pitch No.10 & 11 besides Aspire Park and Padel Court (near Al Aziziya Hotel).

The session starts at 8AM and will continue until 12PM.

Volleyball will have five sessions from 8AM until 11.30AM while walking and gym activities will also be held simultaneously.

The National Sport Day Committee at the Ministry of Sports and Youth has decided that all activities are allowed only for vaccinated people and in open places.
