Aspire Academy graduate Mohamed Mahmoud and student-athlete Adam Morsy both won three gold medals apiece at the fourth Arab Aquatic Championships in Casablanca, Morocco.
Mohamed Mahmoud, who graduated in 2022, won three gold and a bronze in the senior men's events, while Adam Morsy's (grade 11) victories came in the 13-14 age group.
There were also medals for Aziz Ismail Mohamed Jelany (grade 12), Hamza Shalan (grade 12), Abdalla Elghamry (2025 graduate), and Ahmed Diab (2025 graduate) in the 17-18 age group, as well as Ziad Morsy (grade 12) in the 15-16 age group.
In addition to the medal winners, several other Aspire Academy swimmers also participated in the competition in Morocco. Although they missed out on podium finishes, many of them set new personal bests and continued their development as they competed on the international stage.
Qatar won a total of 20 medals at the championships, with 16 of those won by Aspire Academy swimmers; the other four medals were four golds from Ali Sayed in the senior category.
The success of the Qatar team is further testament to the continuing collaboration between Aspire Academy and the Qatar Swimming Association, whose coaches, including Chokri Al Gafsi and Yuriy Vlasof, oversaw the swimmers' preparations and competitions for the championships.
