Aspire Academy’s Robotics Team proudly achieved second place in the Annual Academic Bridge Programme’s (APB) Robotics Championship 2025. The event, held at the ABP College in Doha, Aspire Academy, competed against 14 schools, including specialised technology institutions and the host university. The success of the four student-athletes, who are all in grade 9, is a testament to their teamwork, dedication, and hard work.
The championship allows the teams to compete over two highly challenging rounds. In the first stage, Aspire Academy’s team delivered a strong performance, finishing in third place. In the second stage, the team excelled and secured first place with an outstanding performance, outperforming all other competitors. Based on the overall results, Aspire Academy was awarded second place overall, reflecting the students’ relentless preparation and commitment to excellence.
Throughout the competition, Aspire Academy’s team, comprised of Abdalla Ahmed, Malek Hamdan, Ayad Mohamed, and Mouez Ahmed, demonstrated their creativity and problem-solving skills.
Aspire Academy’s Education Technology Specialist, Khaled Sayed, highlighted the skills exhibited by the student-athletes: “Our students worked tirelessly in preparation and training, which enabled them to achieve this outstanding result. Throughout this journey, they gained numerous valuable skills, such as problem-solving, creative thinking, and teamwork, along with the spirit of sportsmanship.”
The theme for this year’s competition was marine environmental conservation, which added an educational and environmental aspect to the student-athletes' experience. The closing ceremony featured a speech by Dr. Radhouan Ben-Hamadou, director of Research and Policy Development at the Earthna Center for a Sustainable Future, who highlighted the importance of protecting oceans and marine life.
