Aspire academy graduate Abdulla Al Tamimi has reached another career-high on the Professional Squash Association’s global rankings.
The 28-year-old is number 17 on the list released on Monday 6 March, he had been at 18 since 30 January.
His move comes despite a defeat in the first round of the Black Ball Squash Open in Cairo as he was beaten 3-1 to France’s Sebastien Bonmalais, who was 28 in the world at the time.
Al Tamimi will look to continue his rise up the rankings at the GillenMarkets Canary Wharf Classic in London which begins on 12 March. He has been drawn to take on Egypt’s world-number 24 Karim Abdel Gawad in the first round at the tournament in UK.
