Amman, 26 September, 2017. Aspire Academy Fencing student athletes acquitted themselves well at the Arab Fencing Tournament held last month in Jordan. The Aspire Academy boys lined up for Qatar during a competition that saw eight (8) countries participate. Qatar did quite well and brought home a total of eight (8) medals (1 individual Foil gold; 1 individual Epee Silver; 1 individual Foil Bronze, 3 individual Epee Bronze and 2 teams bronze) The pick of the bunch was a Gold medal in the U15 Foil discipline that Ahmed H A Al-Mutawa Hussain won.
“These results were quite motivating for our boys and we can feel that on the fencing hall. The older boys want to improve and the younger ones want to follow so, we can feel at this point that the team is united and focused on further achievements, said Aspire Academy Head Coach, Mr. Massimo Omeri)
