Doha, 8 May 2018. Aspire Academy’s Leadership Department has successfully concluded its 5th Aspire Life Skills competition, an annual event that features boys’ teams from local schools and comprises several sporting activities that teach teamwork and decision making.

In addition to Aspire Academy, seven other local independent and private schools took part in the tournament. Participating schools included: Hamza Bin Abdulmouttalib Boys School, Al Andalus School, Al Jazeera Academy, who were this year’s first, second and third place winners respectively, and Al Maha Academy.

Speaking about this year’s tournament, Mohamed Alsherooqi, Senior Officer Life Skills at Aspire Academy, said: “We’re happy to conclude yet another successful event this year. The competition was organised as part of the Academy’s ‘Ehteraf’ (translates into ‘becoming a pro’ in Arabic) programme – an important initiative that teaches young kids valuable life skills such as responsibility, respect, time management, teamwork and goal-setting. The competition aims to fulfil Aspire Academy’s role of sculpting Qatar’s future leaders in various fields. This competition inspires not only our students, but all young boys taking part in Doha.”

This competition is builds on Aspire Academy's existing efforts to turn young talents into future leaders by equipping them with strong teamwork and leadership skills in a safe and supportive learning environment, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030 which aims to create well-rounded citizens academically, psychically and mentally.
