Doha, 16 June 2015. The academic year 2014-15 of Aspire Academy concludes on Tuesday evening at 7PM with the 'Graduation Ceremony' where the achievements of the eighth generation of student-athletes will be celebrated in a festive atmosphere.
In total 33 graduates, 20 of them members of football and 13 members of the sports program, will be recognized for the hard work and effort they have put into their studies, training and competitions whilst they were at the Academy. This generation includes football players like Akram Afif and Assim Omer Madebo, who have successfully made the transition to adult football and recently represented Qatar at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand as well as promising athletes in other disciplines such as endurance runner Abubaker Haydar.
Aspire Academy is looking forward to welcoming senior figures from within the Qatari sporting establishment, proud parents and members of the graduates’ families at this event as well as members of the Academy’s staff that spend years side by side with the graduating students. As 'Guest of Honor' the Academy is delighted to welcome successful Qatari Rally driver, sport shooter and Olympic medalist Nasser Salih Nasser Abdullah Al-Attiyah.
