Doha, 20 October 2015. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Supreme Education Council (SEC) and Aspire Academy on Monday, October 19, to further strengthen the working partnership and to support the sporting talents in independent schools in Qatar.
Rima Abu Khadija, Director of the Office of Education Supervision at SEC, commented on the MoU: “The cooperation between SEC and Aspire Academy should increase the opportunities of identifying and taking care of our students who are talented in sports, so they can successfully represent Qatar in different sport championships. I also hope they will do so in the competitions Qatar is hosting in the years to come.”
“Our Multi-Sport Skills Development program (MSSD) is keen to develop close relationships with schools so that those young people with sporting ability are given as much help as we can give them to become the best that they can be. At the same time, we hope to light the flame of sport within all young people’s hearts and minds so that they will grow into active and healthy adults”, said Markus Egger, Director of Sport at Aspire Academy.
