AL TAMIMI ENDS YEAR WITH A SILVER AT QATAR TOURNAMENT

27 Dec 2017

Doha 27 December 2017. Aspire graduate Abdullah Mohamed Al Tamimi finished second in the Qatar Circuit No. 5 Squash Tournament that concluded at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex on Tuesday 26th December 2017.  The Qatari lost to Spanish world number 61 Iker Pajares Bernabeu  3-1 in the final.
The Aspire graduate brings a successful season to an end with the second place finish all coming on the back of a fine run in the  World Championship in Manchester at the beginning of this month.
Al Tamimi held off India's Mahesh Mangaokar in the semi- final but Qatar’s number 1 ranked player who won the Qatar Circuit No 4 in November, perhaps succumbed to the effects of too many matches over a short period.
