AL FURQAN SCHOOL WINS ASPIRE FSDC SCHOOLS FESTIVAL

Doha, 2 May 2017. The Aspire Academy Football Skills Development Center Festival for Schools featuring the 2009 generation boys from Independent and Government schools played out on Tuesday 2nd May 2017 at Aspire Academy. Al Furqan School emerged the winners of the Super Final after beating Al Wafaa 2-0. Over 350 boys aged 7 from 34 schools battled out for honours in a tournament divided into Independent schools group and Government schools group.

After numerous matches, The Independent schools final was played between Al Furqan and Sherborne and needed a penalty shoot-out to decide the winner after a goalless draw. Al Furqan converted two penalties to one from Sherborne to win the final.

Meanwhile on the other field a couple of goals from Al Wafaa Model School were good enough to defeat Abi Ayoub Al-Ansari.

Qatar national football team top goal scorer record holder, Mansour Muftah Faraj Al-Abdullah was in attendance and presented the winners with medals.
