25 Nov 2015

Doha, 25 November 2015.
Aspire Academy and Qatar Leadership Academy, a member of Qatar Foundation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday 24 November that enables both parties to share expertise and collaborate in raising a future generation of leaders in academics and sports. Mr. Ivan Bravo, Director General of Aspire Academy, and Brigadier General Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari, Director of Qatar Leadership Academy, signed the memorandum.

The agreement stipulates that both academies will exchange expertise and best practices in different areas, including teaching strategies and student mentoring. Both parties also agreed to benefit from the strengths of each academy and organise mutual programmes and activities in an effort to enhance academic and educational cooperation between them.

The cooperation between the two academies will result in an integrated and holistic approach to mentoring students and building their character. This will combine between Aspire Academy’s sports and leadership development programmes with the various self-discipline tools offered at Qatar Leadership Academy in cooperation with the Qatari Armed Forces. Through this, both academies will be able to contribute to building a future generation of skilled, capable and responsible Qatari youth. These efforts will support the realisation of the Qatar National Vision 2030, which will transform Qatar into a knowledge-based economy capable of sustainable development.

Commenting on the MoU, Mr. Ivan Bravo, Director General of Aspire Academy, said: “We are delighted to sign this memorandum with Qatar Leadership Academy, as we both share the same objective of building a future generation of leaders in both academics and sports. At Aspire Academy, we spare no effort in fulfilling this objective, which will in return contribute to strengthen Qatar’s position on the global map. We will provide all the support and expertise necessary to the success of this agreement, and we look forward to cooperating with Qatar Leadership Academy in developing the future of our students.”

Brigadier General Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari, Director of Qatar Leadership Academy, said: “We are proud to be cooperating with Aspire Academy given its important role as one of the world’s leading sporting entities. This agreement comes in line with the national efforts of many Qatari organisations that are working to build the leaders of tomorrow and, being one of them, we have to contribute to these efforts and help achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030. We are confident that this cooperation will achieve its goals and we look forward to benefit from Aspire Academy’s expertise.”
