Italian Prime Minister Visited Aspire Academy

Doha, 3 February 2014:Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta paid visit to the Aspire Academy in Doha on Monday as part of an official Italian state visit to the Arabian Gulf. Letta, who arrived in Qatar on Sunday evening, met with Acting Aspire Zone Foundation President Mr. Khaled Abdulla Al-Sulaiteen and was given a guided tour of the Academy’s world class sporting facilities. Over the course of the morning visit, the Italian Prime Minister praised the vision and concept of the Aspire Academy before being presented with an academy token shield from Mr. Khaled Abdulla Al-Sulaiteen inside the Academy VIP Hall. Also present was Qatar’s Minister of Energy and Industry, H E Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada and a team of Italian business delegates. A huge football fan himself, Letta’s appearance at the Academy followed a recent visit to Aspire by his favourite team AC Milan who competed in the 2014 Al Kass International Cup that took place last month.
