A delegation from Islamic Republic of Iran youth table tennis has concluded a two weeks mixed training camp with Aspire Academy table tennis student athletes, at the table tennis courts of the state of the art Aspire Academy.
During that period, Aspire Academy student athletes and their coaching staff conducted two mixed training sessions daily with their Iranian counterparts, which they are known to be one of the best west Asian teams in table tennis.
The mixed training camp served both sides to learn from each other and prepare the upcoming challenges in the best possible way. Commenting on this training sessions with visitors and its benefits on our Aspire Academy table tennis student athletes, Peter Karlson, head coach table tennis at Aspire Academy said “The camp with Iran team was a fantastic opportunity to practice with new players with new playing styles and learn a lot, and it’s very important for us at Aspire Academy to have such international players coming here, and I’m very thankful for Qatar table tennis federation and for the Iranian team to give us this opportunity”
The Iranian national team player Mohammed Reza Neshati said” This camp was very good for us and its gives us some new experience especially that the Qatar team level is very high, and we have a lot of training session with them, and we gain a lot from the Qatar team coaches” Moreover, the Iranian national team coach Yousif Sharifi said” We benefited a lot from the coach of the Qatar national team in terms of physicality and the organization of exercises and everything runs very well and we thank Aspire for this opportunity and cooperation”
Aspire Academy table tennis program constantly hosts joint training camps with teams from different countries to gain competing experiences and learn from different schools in order to develop their skills and prepare for upcoming competitions.
