Away from their bikes vrooms noise, the Lusail Circuit Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (ATC) young riders took a tour of the hallowed Aspire Academy recently.
A total of 19 young riders toured the facilities at the Aspire Academy and took part in a football game at the indoor football field.
The bikers, who were in the Qatari capital to participate at the ATC at the Lusail International Circuit, also took part in the padel and climbing.
Qatar’s own Hamad Al Sahouti besides riders from Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Indonesia were a part of this excursion of the Aspire Academy ahead of their biking race at the iconic Lusail International Circuit.
Japan’s Shinya Ezawa, who won the season’s opening ATC race, showed that he also possess silken skill and speed with the ball as with the bikes on a race track.
Even compatriots, Gun Mie and debutant Amon Odaki, who completed the podium at ATC, also immersed themselves in a fun-packed action.
The visiting team also included Dorna Sports Talent Promotion Director Ana Ezpeleta, Luis Aguilar (Talent Promotion Manager) and Ignacio Nino (Executive, Talent Promotion Department).
“It was a wonderful idea. I´m sure they (riders) enjoyed it a lot,” said Ignacio.
The Lusail International Circuit hosted the season’s first Asia Talent Cup alongside the Qatar MotoGP.
Aspire Academy, the nation’s talents’ shaping home, has added MotoGP to its already varied sporting program where a group of promising young Qatari riders are receiving their education and strength and conditioning trainings.
