Former “Aspire Football Dreams”-player Diagne Diawandou signs for FC Barcelona

The Senegalese defender Diagne Diawandou, who was part of the “Aspire Football Dreams” program and recently played for KAS Eupen in Belgium, has signed a 3-year-long contract at FC Barcelona. Diagne, who is well known for his versatility, physical strength and leadership skills signed the contract in presence of Barcelona’s sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta and Silvio El?as, the director in charge of Barça B, the team Diagne is going to play in his first season in Spain. The 20-year-old defender will be spending the pre-season with the first team of FC Barcelona.   “I'm very happy to sign for the best club in the world," he commented and added: "I really like the style of football the club is playing and I want to do everything possible to help their team in the 2nd Division."
