Doha, 25 February 2016. Aspire Academy’s latest Tri-Series tournament of the 2015-2016 season has witnessed strong competition between the Academy’s U-10, U-11 and U-12 feeder teams and their counterparts from French football club FC Metz and Azerbaijani football club FC Qabala.

The tournament, which spanned for three days and concluded yesterday, ended with well-earned first place wins for the Academy’s U-10 and U-11 teams, while FC Metz took home the U-12 title. During their stay in Qatar, the visiting teams stayed at the Torch and Grand Heritage Hotels. On the days when they were not competing in the tournament, the teams were given a tour of Doha and visited a number of the city’s best-known tourist attractions and important landmarks, learning about Qatari history and culture.

FC Metz is a French football club based in the French region of Lorraine, and competes in the French Ligue 2. FC Qabala is an Azerbaijani football club based in the city of Qabala, and competes in the top division of Azerbaijan’s Premier League.
