COVID-19: SAFETY MEASURES GUARANTEE STUDENTS WELL-BEING AT FINAL EXAMS AT ASPIRE ACADEMY

30 May 2020

While the academic year has already ended for the majority at Aspire, the student-athletes of grade 12 are going to return to the Academy for the first time during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to take their high school final exams from June 1 to 9. Of course, the Academy has made sure that all the necessary safety measures were put in place to guarantee the well-being of students and staff during this time.

“On behalf of the management, a lot of pro-active safety measures have been put in place and they have been communicated to students and their parents beforehand, so everybody knows what is expected of them on the exam days and to show them that the environment is going to be safe,” says Vice-Principal Issa AlMoslemani.

Maintaining social distancing during the exams period is one of the most important things and Aspire Academy made sure to provide a proper venue with Multipurpose Hall 1 in Aspire Dome, where all tables were put in great distance from each other.

The students are going to arrive shortly before the exams, enter Aspire at one single entrance and go straight to the exam venue. All equipment and tools that they need is going to be provided by Aspire and all of it is going to be regularly sanitized. Wearing masks and gloves is, of course, also part of the safety measures put in place.

Students that need transportation to the Academy will be picked up by Aspire’s mini-buses and in each bus is not going to be more than one student. These buses are also sanitized on a daily basis. Gatherings of students or staff are strictly prohibited and as soon as the students are finished with their exams they are asked to exit the building.

“We believe that Aspire is well-prepared for these exams and that the grade 12 students, who have been working really hard during the revision period, are as well. And we want to ensure the parents that Aspire Academy has taken all the necessary measures to ensure the safety of their sons and our dear students.”
