?Fans Get Behind Their Teams On Day 2 Of The Tournament
29 January, 2013 (Doha, Qatar) – There was a carnival like feel throughout the tournament today with groups of fans singing, chanting and playing instruments in the crowd as hundreds flocked to see their teams in action in the second round of matches of the group stages of the Al Kass International Cup.
The Esperance Sportive fans took over one of the stands as they cheered on their side against Liverpool FC. With shouts and songs echoing around the pitches you couldn’t help getting caught up in the atmosphere.Following yesterday’s (Monday 29th February) thrilling action, fans, VIP’s and guests in attendance enjoyed four enthralling games.
Away from the action back at the hotel this morning, teams sat down to review last night’s games and discuss tactics. They also made full use of the Intercontinental Doha The City’s facilties.
Paris St Germain players were in the gym early this morning being put through their paces by team coaches and physios and Esperance Sportive made sure they were match ready with their own tough fitness session under the watchful eye of their management.
Liverpool who played the Tunisian side this afternoon will be leaving straight after their match and traveling into the city to attend a reception to open the Qatari branch of their official supporters club at the Radisson Blu Hotel. This further strengthens the clubs ties with the region and demonstrates the wide support there is for the ‘Reds’ internationally.
With Real Madrid and Liverpool booking their place in the quarter finals with a 3-2 win over Aspire International, and a 0-0 draw with Esperance Sportive respectively, there is all to play for in tomorrows final round of games of the Group Stages where Fluminese face Al Nassr, Aspire Qatar take on Esperance Sportive, Inter Milan go up against Boca Juniors and Zamalek meet Aspire International.
