Tuesday 14 January 2014, Doha, Qatar: Aspire Qatar Team started their group D matches in a great way as they went on winners over their Americans counterpart of Chicago Fire(1-0)Tuesday evening.
The game was strongly fought between the two parties and both teams applied strong defensive tactic and build up for counter attack. Aspire Qatar forward Abdulrasheed Ibrahim broke the silence on the 18th minutes when he scored the only goal in the match.
Aspire Qatar did not only win the three points of the game, but also the MVP Award which went to Abdulrasheed. We entered this tournament to learn and improve and our eyes on the Asian cup, said coach Oscar Fernandez; we turned Chicago Fire page and looking forward to the strongest game against Man City on Thursday.
