Aspire Academy graduate Abdulla Al Tamimi has continued his rise up the Professional Squash Association’s global rankings in 2023.
He reached a new career-high of number 18 in the world in the latest rankings released on Monday 30 January as he climbed three places from the previous week.
Al Tamimi is currently in 15th spot in the race to qualify for next year’s World Tour Finals in Cairo, Egypt, which will feature the top 8 players over the course of the 2022/23 season.
The news comes as the 28-year-old prepares to take part in the Sturbridge Capital Motor City Open in the US city of Detroit.
Al Tamimi will take on world number 43 Lucas Serne of France in the opening round on Wednesday 1 February.
